The Stars on Ice website was updated earlier today with all new information about the tour!!! It looks like it will be a good cast this year and I am the most excited about getting to see Angela Nikodinov skate. And the way the schedule is set up this year, I will be able to see her a bunch of times ;) LOL

Check out the new site

In other news, one of my girls from school came into my room today all excited because she got a full four year scholarship to any of the Massachusetts state schools due to her high MCAS scores. So she came in all smiles and was like "You have to see this!!" Needless to say, I was ecstatic for her and I am so so so proud of Dena!!! She has worked so hard over her four years at the high school to overcome her learning disability and be successful and this is such a nice way to have that all come together and pay off at the end!!

Tonight is "Back to School" night and I have to go do my Academic Support spiel for 2 hours. I'm not looking forward to it at all ;)

One more day... [22 Dec 2005|05:53pm]
And then I'm on vacation for 10 days and I can't wait!!!! This time tomorrow we will hopefully be in New Jersey or Delaware by now!!! We are leaving for North Carolina right after school gets out tomorrow around 11am and driving driving driving!!! Its going to be an extra long car ride tomorrow for the mere fact that we all have a bunch of STUFF for the baby and there is no way we are going to be able to fit everything comfortably in the car. I can already foresee the fact that the entire trunk is going to be filled with all of the stuff for Payton and my sister and I are going to be stuffed in the backseat with us and the luggage ;) My mother is trying to have us live out of a backpack so that we have less stuff to try to fit in the car. I'm going to bring like one outfit total and just keep washing it ;) LOL...well not really, but I'm packing light light light!!! I can't wait to see my baby!!! Its been far too long!

The next week is going to be a whirlwind!! I have so much stuff happening and its wonderful! I never do anything over my breaks usually (except for last February actually) and this year I will spend the majority of my Christmas break traveling around the eastern part of North America :) I'm going to be a busy girl until next year ;) LOL But I am so excited for everything and I CAN'T WAIT!!!! I get to see so many people that I haven't seen in so long and I can't wait to hug tackle everyone!

I even more fun news....RASCAL FLATTS IS DEFINITELY COMING TO MOHEGAN SUN AGAIN!!! They just changed the day the tickets went on sale I guess. So while I was on the phone with Heidi Lynn this afternoon, we got some tickets to see them. However, the Saturday night show was sold out and we needed to get them for Friday night. But thats ok! Heidi already said that she'd take the day off of work and we can leave right at 2pm :) WOOHOO RF!!! I LOVE THEM TOO!!!!

So overall, a wonderful day :)

LOL...I'm such a dork!!! :) [28 May 2005|10:53pm]

[ music | "Home" ~ Michael Buble ]

I just spent over an hour going through and renaming all of my icons! Fun times!!! I have such a hectic and busy social life that I manages to somehow find the time to devote to renaming basically every icon I have...all 617 of them! LOL Its sad really!

I went to Chung King last night for drinks with my sister. She ended up knowing the other like 9 people in there because they were all the guys that she used to hang out with in high school. So they all kept coming over to the table and sitting with us. I felt pretty special when her friend Tim was like "Oh my god...Michele's here too!" LOL...its nice being remembered! I had three daiquiris there and my sister and I were lauging SO hard all night in the stupid booth. My fortune said something like "Kiss the person to your right". That's not a fortune, but its freaking wonderful!! So I placed it in my wallet in the same compartment as my license. If nothing else, i will always have it with me and can pull it out at the right time and make out with some cute guy at a bar since the fortune tells me to and all ;) We came back to the house and spent about an hour dancing around the kitchen until Jen's friends called and were like "lets do something". So they ended up coming over and at that point I ended up falling asleep on top of my bed with the lights and tv on.

So its the long weekend and I would really like to actually do something fun this weekend. Last night was fun...but I want to do something that doesn't involve my sister because it sounds kind of sad that my only friend is my sister because she's forced to be my friend since we're related and all ;) LOL

I watched Hope Floats today and i adore that movie SO MUCH!! Harry Connick Jr. is hot in the cowboy hat ;) Then I added up getting sucked into that MTV show "My Super Sweet 16". Oh my word...I wish I was rich. I mean one of the girls flew to freaking PARIS FRANCE to find a dress. And this other girl got all upset and starting crying because her credit card got taken away and she wasn't getting her brand new car on her exact birthday. Oh cry me a river ;) There were huge parties being thrown with guest lists and there were ones where there was a security guard hired just to follow the daughter around and if a boy got too close, the security guard would step in and ask the boy to leave. It was just laughable at all the "stress" these girls were under to plan their parties. But sadly I was sucked in and watched that for about 3 hours! Seriously, I need a life ;)

I still haven't heard from camp yet and I'm getting worried. The only thing I got from them was a yellow sheet saying that they needed more teachers for the summer program and to let people know who might be interested with a hand written "Thanks Michele ~ Warren". So I'm tempted to call the place and be like "Umm...I need a job because you don't seem to want to send me orientation information?" LOL I have to call them again Tuesday and see whats up with that. But Rachael who I worked with last summer substitutes at the high school and she said that she got the orientation information and it looks like I'll have about 5 days off before i have to start orientation which will be wonderful :)

And finally (this update is all over the place)....it was finally SUNNY today!!! I haven't seen actual sunlight for about 11 days! It was wonderful! All week has literally been no more than 50 degrees every day and raining like a mother. So today was close to 70 and sunny. It was BEAUTIFUL!!!

Does anyone know how this custom thing works? I know that people have locked their entries to certain people (aka only certain people can read them) How do you do that? Mel, Flo, Jules....I think you've done this before. Don't know though.

[ music | "Love's Really Got An Attitude" ~ Carolyn Dawn Johnson ]

Ok, so I was so excited because Rascal Flatts tickets were going on sale this morning at noon. Since school was cancelled, I was here to get them! So I kept hitting refresh and managed to get like row U on the floor. I was like "Umm...no thanks". So I tried it again and row 7 on the floor popped up!! I was seriously like screaming at my mom "MOM!!! 7th ROW!!!" So I hit accept and go through all of that stuff to put them on my credit card.

The whole time I was still giddy about the fact that I was going to be sitting 7th row to see Rascal Flatts. The confirmation screen pops up at the end and it says "Section 123 row C" WHAT?!?!? Where'd that come from? So, section 123 is at the OTHER end of the arena and there are no more 7th row tickets. I don't have a clue as to what happened because I only had the one window open and also it definitely said Floor 1 Row G. So now I'm so upset that I'm almost on the verge of tears. Why do these things happen to me? And of course you don't even know that it happened that way until after you have already paid for the stupid tickets. I almost don't want to go anymore :(

So tonight has been very productive!!! My friend got us tickets to see BNL in March and then turns out that Rascal Flatts is coming to Manchester in February! Tickets go on sale tomorrow at noon. And guess who's home tomorrow at that time because school was cancelled? Oh yeah...ME!!! I'M SO EXCITED!!! I love them with all of my heart and soul and who cares that I just saw them a couple months ago? LOL

Wish me luck so that I can get me close to some Joe Don hottness ;)

Now...unless you're from the Massachusetts area and are familiar with the Building 19 franchise, that probably makes no sense!!! However, I don't really care right now...the only thing I care about right now is that..........

SCHOOL'S ALREADY CANCELLED FOR TOMORROW!!!!!!!!!!!

YAY!!! They made an announcement at like 1:40 this afternoon that due to the cold weather that is already here and is going to get colder tonight (like -14 degrees and -44 with the windchill (remember this is Fahrenheit), they're already cancelling school! I was so giddy...plus they paid us early too since we were supposed to get paid tomorrow. NICE!!!

That's seriously it from me...just wanted to let everyone know that I don't have school tomorrow :) :) :)

PATS WON!!!! [11 Jan 2004|02:01am]
[ mood | drunk ]
[ music | "Perfect" ~ sara evenas ]

And Michelle Kwan did too!! WOOHOO!! However, it was the same EXACT cut as Anabelle and Patrice so I was picturing their program throughout parts ;)

I was hoping for Jenny Kirk to rock her long program out beyond words so that she could make Sasha Cohen look up from third place, but I wasn't that lucky. This is me while watching Jenny's program

YES!!!
YES!!!
**calls Jules and leaves a rambling message**
YES!!!
DAMN IT!! SHE FELL
YES!!!
YES!!!

I was really hoping Jenny would have built on Michelle's performance and rocked out beyond words, but no such luck. But she still gets to go to worlds and hopefully 4CC's so all my friends going can watch her compete and cheer really loud for her (guess what? She's from Massachusetts!!! LOL)

Also, tonight was the NFL playoffs and the Patriots won! WOOHOO!! i ddin't see any of the game becuase 1) I was watching skating and 2) the people making up the back room wouldn't let you in the room late for fear that you would jinx the Pats. Needless to say I could hear them cheering from my spot downstairs, so I knew how they were doing without actually watching the game.

So, to celebrate both the Pats winning and Michelle Kwan winning, lots of alcohol was had ;) I had 3 Mike's and a Bacardi and Sprite. Nice...i'm very dizzy right now and I've been laughing nonstop for about 2 hours. I'm also really hot right now! I'm tempted to go stand outside because its like -2 so that will cool me off ;) LOL

Ok...off to bed soon I think. I'm going to have such a headache tomorrow. I can already tell ;)

*sings* MEMORIES... [07 Jan 2004|03:25pm]
[ mood | cheerful ]
[ music | "I Think I Love You" ~ David Cassidy ]

Can I just gush for a moment about how awesome my homeroom is?!?!? I love them so much! I have a homeroom of about 21 sophomores (grade 10 for all those canadians out there...lol). I look forward to my 15 minutes with them everyday because they're "normal" kids and I can get away from all the behavioral crap and whatnot with my students and just relax for 15 minutes.

Anyway, this one girl (Jill) and I chat about the newest Degrassi episodes EVERY Monday morning...it's a tradition!! I'm such a 12 year old stuck in a 24 year old's body ;) Jill's the one that came in on Halloween dressed as an 80's kid. She had the crimped hair, the big baggy sweater, the stirrup pants, the slouch socks, the big belt OVER the sweater, and to top it all off...NEW KIDS BUTTONS!!

Anyway, today she was talking about some tv show that no one else in the homeroom remembered. So, she was like "Miss Moody...do you remember any of the old time Nickelodeon shows? Like Clarissa?" I was flipping out!! I LOVED CLARISSA!!! We talked abou Clarissa, Hey Dude, Roundhouse (LOVED THIS SHOW), Legends of the Hidden Temple, Double Dare, Alex Mack, Finders Keepers, Guts, I'm Telling, and Fifteen!!!

It was great...such awesome shows from our childhood ;) We were basically reminiscing and I was saying how I always wanted to be on "I'm Telling". That was like the Newlywed Game, but for siblings! LOL...then if you won, you got to go to the bonus round and run through all these toys and pick what you thought your brother/sister would choose. Then, if they chose that one you got to keep it! LOL...my sister and I wanted to be on that SO BAD!!!

Then we talked about Alex Mack and how we wished that we could just morph into a liquid puddle when things went wrong and/or we needed to be somewhere else ASAP! LOL...we really did have good television when we were growing up!

That's about all that happened today ;) There are so many things that I need to do and I'm just too lazy to do it! I need to go to the bank, call the dentist, and set up tons of meetings for school. I am already home, so I probably won't go to the bank today. I am terrified of the dentist, so I'm trying to prolong that as much as I can ;), and I have prep period first thing tomorrow morning...so I can't call any parents at 7:30 in the morning! I'm sure they won't appreciate that much ;) Oh well...it'll all get done eventually!

Lazy lazy day... [04 Jan 2004|08:14pm]
[ mood | lazy ]
[ music | "Where the Green Grass Grows" ~ Tim McGraw ]

First of all, everyone should know how much I adore little kids and whatnot. I think this is icon is the cutest thing!!! Love Jen Robinson anyway because she's a sweetheart...but her with a little kid? Gotta love it ;)

I did absolutely NOTHING today!!! Granted I didn't even wake up until after 12:30 which is BAD BAD BAD!!! I am never going to get to sleep tonight and I have to wake up at 5:30 tomorrow morning to get back into the real world. **HUMPH** Sometimes reality sucks ;)

The extent of my day included talking to Nicole and continuing our late night crazy chats into the wee hours of the afternoon, teaching Noé how to do a cut tag for her GJ entry (and boy did she rock at it! WOOHOO!!), and then watching SOI on tv.

I was actually really impressed with how the show was set up. However, I was not impressed with the fact that they didn't show one SINGLE entire program from this year's tour! However, how cute was Jenni rubbing Todd's big belly? LOL Maybe this time next year, their positions will be reversed and Todd will be rubbing Jenni's big belly...uhh, I mean ;) LOL Jenni/Todd babies would be so cute :)

It was nice being able to see things from over the years and to remember them! I'm glad that they showed some Paul Wylie action :) I was kind of hoping for some "It's Oh So Quiet" action from Kristi instead of "Doop Doop" because I love that number, but I'll take whatever Kristi I can get :) I really hope that A&E picks up SOI again for the extended broadcast. That would make me very happy for the mere fact that I really want to have "TGIF" on tape ;)

EDITED TO ADD: I almost completely forgot about Anton tripping up over saying Massachusetts. How amusing was that?!?! I was cracking up! However, I have to give him major props for pronouncing Worcester right! Most people pronounce it like the sauce "War-chester"...in all actuality, it's pronounced (in a thick Boston accent like I have) "Wuss-tah" LOL

Heather text messaged me at 5:47 this morning to let me know that she was on her way to work down in Atlanta. LOL...I was still up ;) I was insanely wide awake and couldn't fall asleep, so I decided that 5am is a perfect time to clean my room. I didn't get very far though with the room. I got bored after awhile and threw in a skating tape and ended up falling asleep around 7am and then woke up at noon.

I really should go find all my dress pants and iron them. I have to actually dress up again. It's been so long since I wore anything other than my pj pants or my jeans. My dress pants are so wrinkled! Who am I kidding though? I'm probably just going to find the one pair of pants that doesn't need to be ironed to wear tomorrow. ;)

I still have to broach the subject of 4CC's with my parents too!! I was all set to tell them about it this afternoon, but they both had to go out. Today was my cousin Bill's memorial mass. It's around this time every year, but my mom completely forgot about it until Mary Ann called her. So, her and my dad were rushing around the house trying to get ready. I figured that wasn't the best time to tell them that I was planning on flying to Canada for about 30 hours at the end of the month ;) I'll tell my mom tomorrow after school.

Ooh...we're supposed to get freezing rain/sleet tonight into tomorrow morning! How great would a 2 hour delay be tomorrow? ;) LOL! I just got almost two weeks off from school and I'm already hoping for a snow day ;) This is bad!

Ok...well, wish me luck on the whole sleeping thing tonight ;)

I love shopping :) [28 Dec 2003|09:44pm]
[ mood | crazy ]
[ music | "Smaller Pieces" ~ Dusty Drake ]

I really do!! And I was definitely in one of those "I want to find lots of deals and buy everything" moods which is a good and a bad thing! LOL Good because I bought myself a lot of things...bad because my poor bank account wants to kill me now ;)

The morning (er...afternoon) started off with me waking up at the extremely early time of 1:00pm ;) I guess I needed my rest...that and I was up until about 4:30am because I was waiting for Heather to come online and she never came. **SOB** It's ok though...I did a lot of planning for Detroit and 3CC in April.

I also looked some stuff up for the possible trip to 4CC's...but sadly I don't think I'm going to be able to swing it. Unfortunately, the earliest I could get to Canada would be 2:20pm and I think things start around 4:00. At first I was all excited because it was during our midterms days and we all get out of school early on those days anyway. However, come to find out, the math exam is 2nd session on Friday...meaning it doesn't even get OVER until noon! That doesn't work at all! I could technically call in sick for that Friday and come up in the morning, but I'm basically THE math person on the special education team. I think the kids would all fail every one of their midterms and I would feel incredible guilty...plus I don't want to waste a sick day on a midterm day, you know what I mean? And there is still that whole "I have no one to sit with for three days" thing ;) So it looks like 4CC's is out for me. :( (Now if there's like a blizzard that week and we have no school I will seriously cry!!!)

OK, so Amy just totally MADE MY NIGHT!!! She did some research and it turns out that pairs long isn't until Saturday afternoon!!! This whole time I thought it was on Friday at 4:00 and it's on Saturday at 4:00!!! If I found a late enough flight so that I came in after you guys saw the ladies, would someone pick me up from Pearson Airport?!?!?! PLEASE!!! OH MY GOD!! I can make this happen again :) :) :) So as I told Jules when I just left her a long rambling message, I want to do this and I'm so excited and I need someone to talk plans with to see if it would actually work!!! Someone call me ;)

But, back to happy thoughts...BARGAIN SHOPPING!!! Today I spent about $300 at Old Navy, Lane Bryant, Walmart, and Target and I got the following for myself:

2 pairs of jeans
6 sweaters
2 CD's (Josh Groban's first cd with all the skating songs on it and Martina McBride's new one)
DVD/VCR combo (and it was only $98!)

WOOHOO!!! I love bargain shopping and it looks like I had my very own Boxing Day celebration here in Massachusetts ;)

Survey :) [26 Dec 2003|11:18am]
[ mood | giddy ]

1. What did you do in 2003 that you'd never done before? I myself drove over the border to Canada, I met lots of cool girls that are such great friends, I went to 7 SOI shows :), learned to love Anabelle and Patrice and met them, went to Canada three times in one year, shopped at ROOTS, met awesome girls from all over the US and Canada!

2. Did you keep your new years' resolutions, and will you make more for next year? I usually start off really well with resolutions and then just lose interest...so no to both :)

3. Did anyone close to you give birth? My cousin Nicole just had a little girl last month

4. Did anyone close to you die? Umm..Aunt Kay died last month at 99! She was so close to making it on that Smucker's Jar ;)

5. What countries did you visit? Various parts of the USA and Canada

6. What would you like to have in 2004 that you lacked in 2003? Time, a Master's Degree

That whole weekend was so amazing!!! Staying up until all hours of the night watching Seb and Val, almost getting run over by Richard Gauthier, random skater sightings at the hotel, ROOTS runs, the show itself, the reception, ROOTS yoga shoots, "maybe its the back of the elevators?", Uniboob statues, Erin being mischievous, Tim Horton's and Jules' sushi pants picking up, SKATER ELEVATOR, drunk guys galore, riding the elevator with Isabelle, not sleeping AT ALL!!! 11. What was the best thing you bought? The Portland SOI tickets...can't beat $5 each ;)

12. Whose behavior merited celebration? One of my girls that I had last year in my resource classes. She is out in all regular education classes this year and is doing AWESOME!!!

13. Whose behavior made you appalled and depressed? Claudia from work. First of all, I was appalled that she would go over my head to the principal and rat me out and then I was depressed because I thought that I was definitely going to get spoken to by the principal. But, he hasn't been anything but nice and kind to me, so I'm not so worried anymore. But I definitely had a couple breakdowns related to her this year.

14. Where did most of your money go? To the salary that pays for the SOI Skaters salaries...yeah, that's basically it ;)

33. How would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2003? As long as its comfy and clean, it works...

34. What kept you sane? All the skating girls!

35. Which celebrity/public figure did you fancy the most? The Stars on Ice cast, Jamie/David, Jenni/Todd, Anabelle/Patrice, Clay Aiken, Rascal Flatts

37. Who did you miss? My skating girls :) , Steve/Alaina, Kel, Cate

38. Who was the best new person you met? All of my figure skating friends ... I cant believe that we have only known eachother for such a short amount of time. (yeah, so I'm stealing what Cassie wrote because it echoes all of my sentiments exactly!)

39. Tell us a valuable life lesson you learned in 2003: People you just meet can become your closest friends in a really short amount of time, if you put 11+ figure skating fans in one hotel/room you will have a BLAST!!!, Chuck E. Cheese is not as fun as it was when you were 7!, some people will do whatever they can to bring you down, others will just not understand the awesomeness that is Rumania Rumania, text messaged skating results can make you really happy or really sad ;), road trips are something that I should have been doing much longer than I have!

Late night ramblings... [21 Dec 2003|01:42am]
[ mood | cheerful ]

I have the coolest friends!!! I love Heidi Lynn and Melissa so much (even though you all know that because I like to gush about them in here a lot). We got together tonight for gift swapping and dinner. Our waitress was so random...I seriously think she was on crack or something. She never brought us our bread and then gave Heidi a loaf of bread in a bag to bring home. WTF?!?!?! She also kept touching my arm and shoulder and we all know how much I love people touching me!!!!

Melissa was telling me how I was so hard to buy for but that she went into a couple bookstores, the poster place, and a sports memorabilia store and asked if they had anything to do with the "Olympic gold medalist skaters". I guess every single place was like "Ummm...nope". So, instead I got a cute "Best Friends" ornament and a sweater! LOL

From Heidi Lynn, I got a pretty bracelet (that I actually picked out myself) and a getaway pouch with body lotion and whatnot in it. She basically said it was for all my "trips to Canada". LOL...do my friends know me or what? ;)

I got my grade finally from the class I took this semester. I did alot better than I thought I was going to. I'm anal when it comes to grades and I basically figure out what I am going to get and what I need to get an A or whatever. So, I had it figured out that unless I got a perfect 100 on the final I was going to get an AB (which is similar to an A- in regular class language). I was a little pissed because I had worked at my 4.0 straight A gpa through 7 classes. However, I got my grade and it was an A! LOL...the teacher supposedly is retiring after this semester, so my guess is she gave everyone that was close an A ;) So, I'm definitely not complaining!!! Two more classes and I'm done with my Master's!!! YAY!!!

Ok...I have TONS of skating to watch tonight before going to bed. I have the GPF and Burt Bacharach taped from earlier. I definitely don't like this whole overlapping skating stuff. So I want to watch that stuff before going to bed. Then tomorrow I have to get up in time to see NHK on Lifetime, set the vcr for Kurt's Gotta Skate and then head to my uncle's house for a Christmas party thing. However, I just realized like right now that my uncle has a black box and probably gets the Oxygen channel so I should have seen if he would tape the World Team Challenge repeats for me tonight so I could grab them from him tomorrow. Oops! Oh well...although they are leaving Monday to visit my aunt's family in Detroit so maybe I can take control of their tv over my vacation while I'm gone and tape everything down there ;) LOL

TGIF!!!! This week has been so long it seems! The crazy part is that I was out sick for two days of it! But no one knows craziness until you work in a school a week before Christmas!!! You think the malls are bad? LOL

I was supposed to tutor Cara after school but her bus driver is an idiot and dropped her off at home instead of at the library. So, I get an afternoon off! That was nice...except I guess Cara is all upset because she had a gift for me and everything! So cute...I have a gift for her too (hair clips, Care Bears puzzle, and Black Beauty coloring book with crayons). Yeah, she's 13 years old, but on a 1st grade level and she LOVES horses...so I was all excited with my coloring book find! :) So, we are going to have our own Christmas swap on January 9th when we resume tutoring again ;) LOL

I'm so excited too because tonight I am going to possibly see "Mona Lisa Smile". I have wanted to see this movie since I saw the previews in the coming attractions at the movies this summer. I love movies that have to do with powerful teachers! I'm such a teacher ;) They make me cry! This one looks SO GOOD too!! :) Ok, change of plans while I am typing this ;) No movie tonight...over vacation though we're going to go to like 19819082 movies! LOL

I'm also such a sap!! With this new On Demand cable thing, I watched the 2002 Olympics special on Showtime the other day. It basically told the background stories of about 7 olympic medalists. Some of the athletes included Jimmy Shea, the Australian ski jumper who won gold, the Canada hockey team (male), and others. Anyway, at first I was little upset there was no Jamie/David love except for a few pictures...but that's ok. I WAS SOBBING THROUGHOUT THE WHOLE THING!!! Seriously Olympics fluff pieces always get to me no matter how corny they are!!! I was dying! :)

Doctors are evil!!! [16 Dec 2003|08:14pm]
[ mood | embarrassed ]
[ music | "Oh Holy Night" ]

I'm in so much pain right now!!! I'm not going to go into gruesome details (but this might be some TMI coming your way) ;) If sex hurts as much as that, I'm glad I'm still a virgin ;) But I got a clean bill of health pretty much and she said that what I have right now is just a plain old cold and to just keep an eye on it. My mom just got over the flu that turned into pneumonia, so I was worried it was that. So, damn it all, I think I'm going to school tomorrow ;) LOL...I was hoping the doctor would find something that I could milk and stay home for another day!

My sister just figured out that we have On Demand on our cable now!! It's SO cool!! It's basically like Tivo and we can watch shows whenever we want to and fast forward through it and pause live tv and all that good stuff. It's so cool and I can't wait to play around with it tomorrow. I still have no idea whatsoever how it is possible to pause live television...so I'm sure that will baffle me for some time to come :)

CLAY!!!!!! [16 Dec 2003|12:32pm]
[ mood | crappy ]
[ music | "Big Star" ~ Kenny Chesney ]

Last night was the Jingle Ball and it was SUCH a blast!!! Every single act there was really enjoyable, even if I didn't know many songs. Of course the highlight of the night was Mr. Clay Aiken, but that was to be expected right? LOL

We left my house around 6 and it took us about 45 minutes to actually get there!!! We were stuck in traffic in front of the arena for the majority of the time. We were freaking out that we were going to miss something...but we walked in during the middle of the first act (Fefe Dobson). She wasn't that bad..but she wasn't that good either!

Some of the other acts included Hilary Duff, Jessica Simpson, Nick Lachey, Maroon 5, Simple Plan, and Bachelor Bob was there! Dido was supposed to be there but she was sick. Nick Lachey only sang one song..BOO!!! But I made sure to call Mel while he was on! LOL...I know how much she loves 98 Degrees with the best of them, so I thought she might enjoy Nick. Jessica Simpson was actually really entertaining...she has a beautiful voice.

I was rocking out to Hilary Duff ;) LOL...she's like 16 and it was funny to see the little 8 year olds in the audience FLIP OUT when she came on! For someone that really can't sing, she was good. Plus, I like her "So Yesterday" song! I'm such a teenybopper!!!

Clay came on and the place went NUTS!!! This older woman in front of us (who I thought was there with her kids..but turned out she was there alone) FLIPPED OUT!!! I thought my sister and I were bad! He sang about 5 songs...including The Way, Invisible, I Will Cover You, Run To Me, and something else that I can't remember. He really was so into it and he's just so good!!! I love him!

I called some people (but I forgot some other important people and I apologize profusely...SORRY BRENDA!!!) and gave them some cellcerts! I'm glad that they could hear it though. I was worried that all they were going to hear was screaming! Pays off sitting in the 13th row! There was a big space in front of me because no one was sitting there so it would have been PERFECT for taking pictures...but the Tsongas Arena are camera nazis, so that was a no go!

We left the show around 11:15 and sat in the parking lot for about 45 minutes! And I mean SAT IN THE PARKING LOT! We didn't move at all! Not even an inch! Then all of a sudden the entire thing started moving and we were home in 6 minutes ;) LOL

Cassie and I came home and watched the NHK shorts that I taped before we left. BOO to them not showing Bella/Patch or any pairs skaters that I wanted to watch at least. We ended up falling asleep around 2am and I had to get up this morning bright and early for a special education meeting at 7:30 THAT WAS CANCELLED!!! I was so mad!

I have not been feeling well at all since Sunday...really achy, sore throat, losing my voice (even though that might have a little something to do with the Clay concert last night), blaring headache, etc. So, I basically told Agnes (the secretary and sweetest woman in the world) that I really didn't feel well and I was going to go home. I am going to the doctor's tonight for a checkup anyway, so hopefully she can check on that and figure out what's going on. I think I am going to call in tomorrow too. I already set up work just in case I decide to not go in. So since I haven't been sick in like 14 years, I might as well take another day off.

Random day... [10 Dec 2003|06:15pm]
[ mood | hungry ]
[ music | "Hell Yeah" ~ Montgomery Gentry ]

Today was SO RANDOM!!! I went back to school today and got bombarded with complaints from the kids. Turns out that my para (who can't control a classroom to save her life) went NUTS yesterday on the sophomore class while I was off giving the SAT's to a student. The kids were all complaining about how she was yelling at everyone yesterday and how she left the room with a stack of writeup slips. Turns out that she...

WROTE UP THE ENTIRE CLASS!!! That just cracks me up beyond belief! So amusing! No offense or anything, but when the sophomore principal gets a stack of 13 writeup slips all from the same teacher, he's not going to discipline any of the kids. That just made me laugh oh so much because it's so utterly ridiculous!

Also, today was my witchy coworker's last day for at least 2 months!! YAY!!! She's getting a kidney transplant tomorrow so she'll be out for awhile. It really sounds awful that I'm excited that she's going in for major surgery, but at least I don't have to deal with her for a couple months. She gave us all these cards yesterday and it went on and on about how I was such a great help and she didn't know what she would have done without me this year...BLAH BLAH BLAH!!! Basically that's good for amusement purposes as well.

I sound so cynical and evil!!! I'm really not like this...I swear!

Jen and I are going to dinner tonight at the 99. Yay for honey BBQ chicken wraps!! YUM!! I can't wait! She better hurry up because I am so hungry!

Also, I was able to download Jamie/David's "Crying" from the WTC and I was excited for that. LOVE THAT PROGRAM!! I also was able to watch Jamie and David on Canada AM yesterday online. Cute interview. I love them!

I hope you all enjoyed your random Jenni love phone calls last night!!! LOL..I was going to call Erica too, but I wasn't sure if she still had early morning practices, so I decided against it! LOL...I was so excited :)
